There is no doubt that my family is the number one priority in my life. And of all the arts, it is paintings to which I am drawn. So it comes as no surprise that as I have developed and matured as an Artist that’s where I have chosen to concentrate my focus.

I have visited many museums and art facilities. Including the National Art Galleries in both Canada and the U.S.A. And my personal favourite, the Norman Rockwell Museum. I have also studied numerous painters. John Singer Sargent, Peter Paul Rubens and Ricardo Sanz in particular. I have been taught by top photographers . Including twelve members of the prestigious Camera Craftsmen of America. I have developed a style which embraces the best of all of these artists.
I am an avid motorcyclist. With my wife I have travelled throughout all ten Canadian provinces and all of the lower 48 states. I have created portraits of individuals, children and families in many of these. I am also a veteran N.S.B.O. referee. It’s very common to see me on “the hardwood” from October to March. I believe in giving back to my community. Over the years I have donated tens of thousands of dollars in money and in-kind support. This support has gone to many organizations. Such as the I.W.K. Children’s Hospital, Colchester Regional Hospital, Ducks Unlimited, Feed Nova Scotia. Numerous schools, churches, clubs, etc have also received donations.
I have been a member of the Professional Photographers of Canada for 25 years. I have served on numerous boards. Currently I am on the National Awards Committee and the National Exhibition Committee. I have been nominated several times for Atlantic Portrait Artist of the Year. Winning this coveted award in 2016. I have achieved the level of Master of Photographic Arts. In order to properly service my clients I am Accredited in Family, Child and Graduate classifications of portraiture.
