Paws,Claws,Scales or Feathers – Pet Pictures for Charity!
It’s the event many of you have been waiting for – our special pet pictures event for charity. Dogs, cats,rabbits, parrots, snakes and (if I have to) Tarantulas! Pretty much any pet you want if it will fit through the door! I’ll have a few background options available so ask for your favourite. These images were all taken on previous pet days at Clarence Farm Services. That’s a day when I only have 5 minutes for each session. So you can see even when I have limited time I can gesture great expressions!
On our upcoming pet day I’m actually doing a full pet session so you’ll have multiple photos to choose from. I’ll be adapting the lighting to your specific animal and even the colour of the fur or feathers! That’s the key to great pet pictures. If you can count the hairs and they look alive and shiny. The black ones should be more than a silhouette. The white ones should not require sunglasses to look at! Even in most of these portraits, taken in less than 5 minutes with zero lighting changes, have great detail. That’s due to my special “glisten” technique I designed for lighting animals.
Of course, you have to be an animal person if you’re going to capture great pet pictures of critters. I’ve been around animals my whole life. From dogs and cats to horses and cows. I love them all! I currently own a Westie, Spenser, who loves to be my travel buddy. He’s always at the door when I’m leaving. He enjoys the car but he LOVES the Harley!! Yep – I have a specially adapted car seatbelt that attaches to the Hog and he sits strapped in on the passenger seat. I also have two gorgeous Bengal cats, Ruby and Sophie, who are as different as night and day!
