Being a Christmas Photographer is so rewarding!
When I decided that being a Christmas Photographer was an option I never guessed it would be so incredible! I mean I knew I was spending a lot of time developing the set and the Experience. And I knew there was a lot of potential to create great pieces of art. I also knew there would be a variety of feelings for the parents. But how it affected me . . . well, it snuck up on me!
The great thing about the experience I am offering as a Christmas Photographer is how involved and in-depth the children get. The opportunity to spend time with Santa Claus in his Nova Scotia workshop is so great for the children. They come in full of excitement and wonder. It often becomes overwhelming at first until they get over the initial shock that this is not just another mall santa. And believe me the kids know the difference! Some of the things they ask Santa are funny. And some of the things they tell Santa are, well – just kids being kids. But rarely a session goes by that I’m not in tears from laughter. Or from disbelief in just how much the children enjoy being with this true iconic symbol of Christmas and childhood.
Now I know it’s February and Santa is back home at the North Pole but for this Christmas Photographer the thoughts of the Workshoppe never stop. I’m always looking for more vintage toys so I can customize each child’s experience.
