Day 1 – cool and wet

The day started out great as I got away on schedule just before 0700 and the sun was partially shining on me! The closer I got to NB the more gray the the sky got and by Salisbury the rain was full tilt. I put on the rain gear, turned up the heated clothing and life was good! It rained in varying degrees until Bangor but it also got warmer 🙂
Just south of Bangor I started to notice the leaves coming out on the trees and within 30 minutes I saw apple blossoms and fully leafed trees and bushes. Just before I finally left Maine in the rear view I started to snack on a granola bar with nuts – BAD IDEA – I broke off a front tooth from my bridge:( I’m hoping I can find a denturist in NC on Monday that can glue it back on so at least it feels right and looks normal even if I can’t eat with it. Great first day – eh?
But I made it to Worcester, Mass. which was my goal and I found a Motel 6 ( read low cost!). Headed through MD and into Virginia tomorrow so maybe I’ll have a decent photo or two to post. Good Night all
