We got away from the motel around 0710 but by the time we filled up with gas and stopped at a drug store it was about 0730 when we headed out of Winnipeg. A mere hour and half later we were at the border!. It was a cool morning – only 7 Celsius when we started out.
As we continued south the temperature got warmer but watching the scenery change was very neat. In NS terms it was a normal late March when we left Winnipeg and by the time we got through Minnesota and into Iowa it was early June! But other than that it was a pretty uneventful day. We enjoyed the warmth and tomorrow should even be better as we head to St. Louis.
Not much wildlife today except for quite a few hawks.
