Day 3 – Dentist, Heat and Great Friends

A pretty easy day as far as mileage goes – less than 300 although I can’t remember exactly. Started off with a dreary morning ride through northern NC as it was just gray and blah. Found a Denturist but he couldn’t help me until tomorrow(maybe) but my good friend Larry came through and got me in to see his dentist/Denturist @ 1400 and he had my tooth repaired by 1530 – and it only cost me $75!! Then had a great visit with Larry, his wife, Dana and his sister, Susan. Some beers, BBQ hamburgers and a walk around their property on a warm spring evening. The afternoon was really warm, 75 degrees, so it was a nice evening even after the sun went down. But the mosquitos were out in full force so I donated my first blood of the year!
That’s all for now. Tomorrow I am planning to ride the Tail of the Dragon, but if it rains I will have to skip it – again 🙁 and just head south to Georgia.
