For the first morning since Pam joined me we were able to start out the ride in t-shirts! It was 79 degrees at Ocean City at 0750. We travelled up through Delaware to Pennsylvania and then on thru New York to Connecticut. We did swing westward for a while in order to go around the Philadelphia traffic. Nothing real exciting today just a nice leisurely ride through some pretty country roads. Unfortunately as the day went on and we continued northward the clouds came in and the temperature dropped. We had to put our jackets back on after lunch and the forecast for the next couple of days is wet.
We did eat all three meals at local diners today and never had a bad mouthful! Probably only cost about 50% more than some fast food joint but much better in taste for certain and the service was friendly and cheerful. We took a route thru New York that took us close to the Peekskill area and went over a very high bridge – much to my wife’s dismay. She was unable to take in the beautiful view as she was frozen ” in fear” 🙁
Still not sure about our route for tomorrow – so I guess I will go and consult the maps 🙂
