The final day of this wonderful excursion began at 0900 with overcast skies and 57 degrees. So we geared up for a cool damp ride and away we rode. It stayed cool with some occasional mist through New Brunswick and right up to “the pass” in NS. Then almost as if by magic it warmed up significantly and the skies got brighter just lighting the way home:) No photos again today – we just wanted to get home.
At 12:09 pm we pulled into our driveway and Roadtrip 2012 was over. Two years of planning, changing plans, redoing plans, riding through almost every kind of precipitation except snow, temperatures from 33 to 107 degrees F, visiting friends, colleagues and mentors, making new friends, and much excited anticipation was over. 24,344 km of riding through 43 states and 4 provinces was complete. For those of you who have been following this blog throughout my personal “trip of a lifetime” – I hope you enjoyed my ramblings and thank you.
