Roadtrip 2014 – Day 5

posted in: Roadtrip | 0

Nice dry day but very cool – started at 47 finished at 56 and the winds were 35+ MPH all day. I quit riding about an hour and a half early as I felt like I had been wrestling with a grizzly bear! Not much to see as Kansas was quite flat as was most of Nebraska until I almost got to Wyoming when the rolling hills started. As I rode into Cheyenne I could see the mountains I’ll headed through tomorrow.

For those who are wondering why I’m not posting photos it’s because I’m not taking any. The reasons are 1. It’s been too wet or cold to stop the bike and dig out the camera 2. There hasn’t been much to photograph  because I’m travelling on the interstate highways 3. You’re not permitted to stop on the side of the Interstate unless it is an emergency 4. I have a schedule to keep as i have to get to Washington State by Saturday evening.  If it’s a decent day tomorrow I will attempt to take a photo or two as I go through the mountains.

Not much wildlife again today only 2 deer, 6 turkeys and 1 Canadian Goose!
