Being a studio photographer doesn’t mean I can’t create fun photos.
In fact, as a studio photographer there’s lots of fun to be had. Just look at this portrait. With four dogs and these chairs don’t you think we had fun?
I’ve been photographing the Rath family since Raelee was a baby. When you work with a family that long they become like friends. You also can run out of ideas for new portraits. The few times we created family portraits we were outside and on location. They wanted something different this time. So as a studio photographer I suggested we do it in my spacious camera room. We went with the red deck chairs and sneakers to keep the fun of summer in their studio portrait.
This is a both a studio portrait and a lifestyle portrait which captures WHO this fun-loving family really is! My studio has many options for you to choose. A very traditional Old Masters background, several different coloured backdrops, a barn set complete with real barnyards and straw, this all-white option and several more. Having many options makes being a studio photographer more interesting and provides you with variety.
Many photographers today don’t have studios but with my large space I can accommodate almost any family year-round. It also means I can work into the evenings when there is no light outside. This means you don’t have to take time off work or give up your weekend for your family portrait. Although I am a studio photographer, I still love to work outdoors and other locations indoors and am Nationally Accredited in Environmental Family portraits.
