Planning a small wedding and only want a few wedding photos?
Many of the important wedding photos are captured during a small window of time. Not that they all don’t have some significance but some couples have different likes and priorities. Some couples don’t have the budget for a full day photographer. And many of the top wedding photographers don’t do limited or short wedding packages. That’s a good thing. It means they are going to be focused on that one couple for the entire day. I did that for almost 30 years. I created numerous award-winning wedding photos.
Eventually I decided I didn’t really like spending the whole day at a wedding. So I immediately stopped booking weddings. It would not have been fair to the couples that hired me. And to be honest, the new photojournalistic style that many couples wanted wasn’t what I was good at. What I am great at is the classic style portrait-based wedding photos. I love creating wedding portraits. Loving, emotional, romantic photos. And of course the creative group photos. For the most part the images of the people.
I love the new style of wedding photography. I have friends and close colleagues who excel at this. They’ll spend your whole day with you and charge anywhere from $3000 to $10,000 – and it’s worth it!! . . . if you have it. Or if there are not more important places (to you) to invest it. For me I don’t really know what could be of more emotional value than incredible wedding photos of your entire day. Images printed into a bound album to last through generations. Canvas, heirloom quality wall portraits proudly displayed indoor new home. But that’s what I do and that’s what the top wedding photographers do. But I GET IT! Not everyone sees things the same way.
So now I offer one, two and three hour coverages of up to three locations. The meat and potatoes of your wedding day. For some who were unlucky in love the first time they just want simple and easy but high quality. They don’t want the “full meal deal”.
