Day 25 – More Cold More Rain More Wind then finally . . .

Got up early and the sun was shining, but we knew from the radar that we were driving into a little bit of rain so we donned our rain gear and hit the road. It didn’t take long before sweet Mother Nature was crying all over us with very little heat to go with it and blowing very hard. On top of that my heated gear decided to quit working so it was a most unpleasant six hour ride.
However we did get to see two bears up fairly close but of no danger to us on the road, as well as a deer and 8 elk. However, the mountains that were surrounding us were hard to see because of the low lying rain clouds – in fact , about a third of them were hidden 🙁 We also had our share of road construction and the bike is about as dirty as I have ever seen it.
Once we arrived in Banff we had to get warmed up so we had a cup of coffee and a hot shower before going into the town of Banff. The sun had come out for a bit but after only 10 minutes of walking around the rain and cold came back for a goodbye kiss. We ambled around the shops and saw some very good photography as well as paintings and sculptures. By now we decided that ribs would be great for supper so go and chow down we did! The sun seemed to to be out shining for the evening so we hoofed it home and enjoyed that little yellow ball. The first photo below is the scene right outside our window:)
