Day 28 – Wyoming is a big state!

We were on the road at 0750 this morning and the first hour was full of nice scenery and some of the images are below. The second hour scenery was flat semi-desert and it was windy. Then Pam hit the repeat button, lost the remote and it was stuck for six hours:( Seriously – it was like watching the same tv episode over and over and over again. At least it was bright and sunny and the afternoon was nice and warm.

We did see lots of Pronghorns and one of them was actually about two feet off the road as we passed by! It seems Wyoming, Nevada and Montana have 2/3 of the world’s Pronghorn population! We drove thru Nebraska for about an hour or so, other than that it was a pretty uneventful day but we sure enjoyed the sun!

We stopped for the night in Custer, SD which is 30 minutes away from Mount Rushmore. Headed there first thing in the morning and then down thru the Badlands before turning northeast towards the North Dakota/Minnesota border. We don’t have the time to spend in much of either state so we will clip the corner of ND and then go south to Iowa before heading to the Harley Headquarters in Wisconsin.
